Privacy Notice

The protection of personal data when using our websites is important to us. Therefore, please take note of the following information.

Responsible entity

The entity responsible for the gathering, processing, and use of information in connection with the use of our website is Dr. Ulrike Rudolph, Patentanwaltskanzlei Dr. Ulrike Rudolph, In den Fensenbäumen 49, 69198 Schriesheim, Phone: +49 (6203) 61348, Fax: +49 (6203) 64196

General Information

You are not required to register and/or provide any personal information to use our website.
When you visit our website, however, we gather and process the information that is automatically provided to us by the system.

However, when you visit our website, the information that you technically transmit automatically to us is automatically gathered and processed to an anonymous data collection. When you visit our website, the device you use and the Internet browser with which you access our website automatically provides log data to the server used by us. This log data includes, in particular, information on the type and the version of the web browser and the operating system you are using, the date and time the page is accessed, the referrer URL (website from which you were forwarded to our website through a link), and the IP address of the requesting computer.

The legal basis for this data collection and storage in log files is Art. 6 para. 1 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Once the IP address is no longer technically needed to access the website, it is eventually stored in an abbreviated and anonymized format for statistical analysis purposes only.

Such data that is transmitted automatically is gathered and evaluated exclusively to properly display the information provided and to perform statistical analyses. We cannot attribute the data that is automatically transmitted to the server to certain individuals, i.e. in principle we cannot identify you directly on the basis of the automatically transmitted data.

Please note, however, that it is theoretically possible over time and with the assistance of your Internet access provider to identify the owner of the Internet connection from which you access our website on the basis of the transmitted IP address. Your Internet access provider can inform you how long it stores used and attributed IP addresses.

Cookies

We may use so-called cookies on our website. Cookies are small text files that are stored on your computer for the duration of a browser session.

The legal basis for this use of cookies is Art. 6 para. 1 GDPR.

At the end of the browser session, the cookies we use are deleted again (so-called session cookies).
If the cookies we may use are cookies from Google Analytics (provider is Google Inc. 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA), that cookies remain on your device and may be used for an analysis of your use of our website. The information about your use of our website generated by that cookies usually will be transferred to and saved on a Google server in USA.

Since IP anonymization is activated on this website, Google will truncate your IP address in a member state of the European Union or in another member state that is party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area prior to its transfer to USA. Only in exceptional cases the full IP address will be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and truncated there.

Google will use this information to evaluate the use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide the website operator with further services associated with the use of that website and the Internet.

The IP address transmitted by your browser in the context of Google Analytics is not merged with other Google data.

You have the option of preventing the installation of cookies on your computer by changing the relevant settings in the Internet browser you are using; however, this may result in a limitation of functions of our website.

In addition, you can prevent Google Analytics from collecting this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link:   https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Links to third party websites

Our website contains links to third-party websites. If such links are not obviously recognizable, we indicate them as external links. Please note that we have no influence over whether these websites comply with privacy laws. As a provider, we are only responsible for the content on our own website and its compliance with the law. We do not assume any responsibility for third-party content made accessible through links and the content provided by these third-party websites.

Rendering of information, correction, blocking, and deletion

You are entitled to obtain from us free of charge information about the data stored about you, the recipients or categories of recipients of this data, and the purpose for which this data is stored. You may also, subject to legal requirements, be entitled to have your personal data corrected, blocked, or deleted.

You also have the right to object to the collection and storage of data by Google Analytics for the purpose of web analysis with future effect.

In case of need, please contact me in writing at the above mentioned address.
